Senate Passes Extension of PPP Program
On Wednesday night (July 1), the U.S. House of Representatives passed a bill to extend the Paycheck Protection Program until August 8. The move follows the passage of a similar bill in the U.S. Senate on Tuesday evening. Having been approved by both houses of Congress, the bill now heads to President Trump's desk to be enacted. The Paycheck Protection Program is an economic stimulus action that provides forgivable loans to small businesses that have been impacted by Covid-19.
